A free-will donation will be accepted and the youth group will also be helping to serve. The supper is open to the public so be sure to invite your neighbors and friends!Ā

SUNDAY SCHOOL - During the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:15 am) the adult class is continuing Ā a study on the Augsburg Confession. Ā The children and youth classes also meet during that time.Ā

*WOMEN'S WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY * - continues each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. The focus of this study is on forgiveness. Any questions contact Julie Vogts or Caley Moddelmog.

*THURSDAY BIBLE STUDY* - Thursdays at 7:00 pm we have been offering a Bible study on some of the ā€œ3:16ā€ verses of Holy Scripture. However, due to the Council meeting this Thursday, we will not be having the study this week.

OUR REGULAR QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING - will be held next Sunday, January 25th. A potluck meal will follow immediately after the morning’s Service and then we will hold our meeting. The Church Council meets this Thursday at 7:00 pm in preparation for the Voters’ meeting.

HESSTON HIGH SCHOOL SINGERS - will be with us on Sunday, February 1st as they share their talents and sing a couple of songs as part of the morning’s Service. This group includes a couple of our own youth: Allie and Ethan! Please note that we are switching around the first Sunday that we celebrate Holy Communion in February so instead of having Communion on February 1st, we will have it on February 8th.

ASH WEDNESDAY - and the beginning of Lent is February 18th. Wednesday evening Services will be starting again at that time (7:00 pm).Ā

PORTALS of PRAYER - for January through March can be found on the stand in the narthex. Large-print copies can be found on the shelf.Ā

THE JANUARY CALENDAR and NOTES - Ā can be found on the stand in the narthex.Ā

MY DEVOTIONS - for December through February can be found in the narthex. These devotionals are great for our grade school and middle school youth in helping them grow in their faith and connecting Jesus to their lives.Ā

LIVESTREAM HELP - We are needing to train a third person on live streaming for Sunday Adult Bible Study and Worship service time. There are some dates coming up in March, May and June that we will need coverage for. Please contact Brent or Tanner for details. This would involveĀ setting up the iPad, logging onto Facebook and our church website, copying and pasting some links, maybe adjusting some volumes during the worship serviceĀ periodically. We would also show you how to setĀ up the video camera and amplifier for use with the Fellowship Hall TV / Sound System.

PRIVATE CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION - Pastor Slater will be available in his office, for any individuals who would like to have private Confession and Absolution in preparation for receiving Holy Communion, from 9:00am to Noon, each Saturday prior to the Sundays in which the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated. This is of course voluntary and not required for receiving Communion. Just an opportunity to further prepare your heart and mind for anyone who might so desire. Any questions, please let Pastor know.Ā
