CALL DAY - was this past week at both Concordia Seminary/St. Louis and Concordia Seminary/Ft. Wayne. The Kansas District received two new pastoral candidates (Bethany/Overland Park and St. Paul/Clay Center), two new deaconesses (Bethany/Overland Park and Calvary/Topeka) as well as two vicars (Zion/Linn and Beautiful Savior/Olathe). We thank God for these servants and pray that the Lord of the harvest would continue to raise up men and women for service in His church.

MOWERS NEEDED - The sign-up sheet for mowing the church yard and the cemetery can be found on the bulletin board in the narthex. The church yard and cemetery are separate lines to help keep it from being such a big job. You can also ask someone else to ‘team up’ with you as far as mowing and the trimming. So please consider signing up if you are able to help at all. Thanks!

SUNDAY SCHOOL - During the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:15 am) the adult class is continuing an evangelism study: “Every One His Witness” as we learn how to share our faith with those whom the Lord places in our lives. The Middle and High School Sunday School class is looking at various videos regarding the Bible and our faith.

LIVESTREAM HELP - We are needing to train a third person on live streaming for Sunday Adult Bible Study and Worship service time. There are some dates coming up in March, May and June that we will need coverage for. Please contact Brent or Tanner for details. This would involve setting up the iPad, logging onto Facebook and our church website, copying and pasting some links, maybe adjusting some volumes during the worship service periodically. We would also show you how to set up the video camera and amplifier for use with the Fellowship Hall TV / Sound System.

PRIVATE CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION - Pastor Slater will be available in his office, for any individuals who would like to have private Confession and Absolution in preparation for receiving Holy Communion, from 9:00am to Noon, each Saturday prior to the Sundays in which the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated. This is of course voluntary and not required for receiving Communion. Just an opportunity to further prepare your heart and mind for anyone who might so desire. See the November Calendar and Notes for more on this. Any questions, please let Pastor know.

THE MAY CALENDAR and NOTES - can be found on the stand in the narthex.

BOARD of MISSIONS COLLECTION - For the month of May we are collecting personal hygiene items for the inmates at the Hutchinson Correction Institution. Items that can accepted are: toothbrushes and toothpaste, small (hotel size) bar soap, and combs. Donated items can be placed in the cart located by the church office. Thanks!

APRIL – JUNE PORTALS OF PRAYER  - (including large-print) can be found on the shelf in the narthex.

MY DEVOTIONS - for March through May can be found in the narthex. These devotionals are great for our grade school and middle school youth in helping them to grow in their faith and connecting Jesus to their daily lives.

THE NEW CHURCH DIRECTORY - is in so if you haven’t received a paper copy and would like one, please see Brent Nutter. Brent can also show you how to set up on-line access to the directory. We thank Brent for all his work in putting the directory together. It looks great!
