MIDWEEK LENTEN SERVICES - continue this Wednesday at 7:00 pm under the theme “We Preach Christ Crucified”. These Services continue through April 9th with a meal for the congregation to precede each Service.
LADIES OF IMMANUEL: You are invited to a bridal shower for Jenique Brown, bride-to-be of Tanner Klingensmith at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 30th. It will be held in the Immanuel Lutheran fellowship hall. The couple is registered at theknot.com/jeniqueandtanner/registry. Hostesses are Brenda Vogts, Becky Moddelmog, Brooke Vogts, Andrea Potter, and Barbara Vogts. Please let a hostess know if you will be there!
MEN’S GROUP - meets this Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm. After a short meeting we will finish the video series on Noah and the Flood produced by the Men’s Network. All men of the congregation are invited and encouraged to join!
SUNDAY SCHOOL - During the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:15 am) the adult class is continuing an evangelism study: “Every One His Witness” as we learn how to share our faith with those whom the Lord places in our lives. The Middle and High School Sunday School class is looking at various videos regarding the Bible and our faith.
LIVESTREAM HELP - We are needing to train a third person on live streaming for Sunday Adult Bible Study and Worship service time. There are some dates coming up in March, May and June that we will need coverage for. Please contact Brent or Tanner for details. This would involve setting up the iPad, logging onto Facebook and our church website, copying and pasting some links, maybe adjusting some volumes during the worship service periodically. We would also show you how to set up the video camera and amplifier for use with the Fellowship Hall TV / Sound System.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY - continues tomorrow evening (Monday) at 6:30 pm as they read through the book: “Promised Hope: Finding Peace in God’s Faithfulness”.
5th THROUGH 8th GRADERS - The Kansas District is holding the annual Middle School Huddle on April 5th-6th at Rock Springs 4-H Ranch (south of Junction City). The theme of the Huddle is “The Armor of God” and the purpose is to encourage middle school students in their faith through God’s Word. Specifically, this retreat will explore how to stand strong in faith, equipped with the spiritual armor that God provides. Our youth leader, Jill Kruse, is willing to take as many 5th—8th graders that want to attend. Please see Jill for any questions you may have.
PRIVATE CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION - Pastor Slater will be available in his office, for any individuals who would like to have private Confession and Absolution in preparation for receiving Holy Communion, from 9:00am to Noon, each Saturday prior to the Sundays in which the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated. This is of course voluntary and not required for receiving Communion. Just an opportunity to further prepare your heart and mind for anyone who might so desire. See the November Calendar and Notes for more on this. Any questions, please let Pastor know.
THE APRIL CALENDAR and NOTES - can be found on the stand in the narthex.
BOARD of MISSIONS COLLECTION - For the month of April we are collecting non-perishable food items for the Moundridge Food Bank. Donated items can be placed in the cart located by the church office. Thanks!
APRIL – JUNE PORTALS OF PRAYER - (including large-print) can be found on the shelf in the narthex.
MY DEVOTIONS - for March through May can be found in the narthex. These devotionals are great for our grade school and middle school youth in helping them to grow in their faith and connecting Jesus to their daily lives.
